Airsoft is a team based sport in witch two or more teams fights eachother with airsoft replicas. Airsoft replicas are ussually a 1:1 scale replica of a real firearm, there are some execptions to this... some are desinged for airsoft or based off a video game and dont have their real life counterparts.Airsoft replicas shoot 6mm plastic ball called BBs (balistic ball) there are a few diffrent ways to how and airsoft BB can be laucnhed: Sping, Electric,HPA (High Powerd Air/Compresed air), Co2 cartiges or Green gas (propane). The speed of the BB is depends on the replica and outside conditions but they generaly stay betwen 200fps (feet per second) to 600fps. (To convert to meters per second devide it by 3).For that reason ALL airsoft players are requierd to wear protection googles to not damage their eyes during a game...covering the whole head with a hat, helmet and a mesh mask(mask thas made of metal anc covers your nose and teeth).
